Sculpted from the rolling hills of Los Angeles in the shadows of the Santa Monica Mountains, MountainGate Country Club features three 9-hole courses – the North, South and Lake Courses – that can be played in any combination, all designed by noted golf course architect Ted Robinson. Robinson built the links-style layouts to blend harmoniously with their surroundings, leaving the terrain completely natural. Lush stands of trees frame undulating fairways and manicured greens, with deep roughs and expansive bunkers which create both strategic diversity and a picturesque backdrop for golf.

Golf Programs Developed with our Members in Mind

Whether you are new to golf or wish to fine-tune your skills, MountainGate Country Club offers a variety of instructional programs taught by award-winning teaching professionals, as well as numerous opportunities for competitive or social play for golfers of all ages and abilities

Golf Instruction

MountainGate offers a variety of instructional programs taught by a talented team of professionals that are designed to meet each student’s personalized goals. Instructional options range from individual lessons to series packages focused on players’ entire game – from fine-tuning the practice routine and perfecting golf fundamentals to on-course instruction in strategy. Members can also take advantage of the club’s Player Development Advantage program, offering an ongoing schedule of complimentary golf clinics for players of all ages and abilities. We also feature a weekly clinic for women covering a wide range of topics from golf rules and etiquette to fundamental techniques.

Golf Events

MountainGate Country Club offers a wide assortment of competitive and fun events designed to engage every member of the family – including Men’s and Women’s Golf Association events, where members can compete in individual and team competitions; our popular MountainGate Classic, a two-day member-guest consisting of five 9-hole matches followed by a party on the 1st tee; and numerous couples’ events, such as our Nine, Wine and Dine, combining fun-filled competition with outstanding food and wine; our Couples’ Golf Championship; and the Red, White and Blue couples’ tournament on the Fourth of July followed by an amazing picnic.

Junior Programs

Open to MountainGate members ages 6 to 17, our popular junior golf program incorporates junior golf instructional programs, regular junior golf clinics, our popular summer junior golf camps, and numerous fun and competitive golf opportunities – including Junior Golf Play Days on Tuesdays from March to September, offering young players the opportunity to transition from the driving range to the golf course under the supervision of a teaching professional. Juniors who participate in Junior Golf Play Days have the opportunity to try out for the MountainGate Junior Golf Team, an opportunity to compete in MountainGate Metro League team match play against juniors from other area golf courses.

Equipment Fitting

MountainGate offers members the opportunity to participate in Demo Days offered by top manufacturers including Titleist, TaylorMade, Cobra, Cleveland and Callaway, enabling them to try out the latest in golf equipment technology. Our golf professional team is highly trained and certified in fitting.

Member Discounts

Members receive preferred pricing on all pro shop merchandise or special orders, affording 35% discounts over golf equipment and merchandise offered by local retailers.
